What these numbers mean
Counts cover all currently active sources, before any directory search. Records can overlap within and across lists. They are not counts of unique entities.
Publicly browsable records are the portion available in the public directory. A record’s presence does not by itself establish an active sanction.
Organizations include companies and other bodies. Other / unspecified means the source record has no more specific supported type.
Last checked . Counts and availability refresh after publication and at least daily when this page is visited.
Use these sources in your application.
The source discovery API lists available coverage and the IDs to use in a screening request.
Questions about the dataset directory
How can I find a sanctions database for a particular country?
Search this directory by country, publisher or source name. You can also filter by purpose and subject type. Open a profile to see the official publisher, what the source covers and whether records are available. Check the source scope before treating it as the list your policy requires.
Can I download every dataset in this directory?
No. A source profile does not grant download or reuse rights. Downloads depend on the source’s current publication permissions and availability. Use a download option only where the page provides one, and read its license information. Otherwise, follow the original publisher’s reference.
Why are reference sources shown separately from screening lists?
A reference source can help identify a company or interpret a record without listing a restriction. Its presence does not mean that a person or company is sanctioned. The directory separates these uses so you can choose evidence that answers your question.
