KNOW WHAT COUNTS
Each completed initial screen or monitoring rescreen counts as one subject. Batch rows count individually. Idempotent retries and failed rows do not count again. Sandbox activity is separate and never billed. Monitoring stops at the monthly cap; no automatic excess charges.

No. You can screen subjects, upload lists, review evidence, and manage monitoring in the dashboard. The API is included when you want to connect an application.
New screenings stop at the plan or configured cap. There are no automatic overage charges. Check usage in your dashboard and adjust your plan or monitoring workload before reaching the limit.
A retry with the same valid idempotency key does not count twice. Failed or rejected screenings do not count as completed subjects. Completed batch rows count individually.
Opening retained evidence or recording a review decision does not create another screening charge. A new screening or completed monitoring rescreen does.
Yes. Use your sandbox key and synthetic records to test requests, errors, and the review workflow. Sandbox activity is separate from paid production allowance.
