No. A list comparison cannot determine every applicable restriction, ownership issue, authorization, or reporting duty. Your broader procedures and legal assessment remain necessary.
Is a similar name a confirmed OFAC match?
No. Review the full source record and reliable identifying information. A similarity score ranks candidates rather than establishing identity.
Can an unlisted company still raise OFAC ownership issues?
Yes. OFAC’s 50 Percent Rule can affect an entity not named on the SDN List. SanctionsKit does not collect ownership evidence or calculate ownership chains.
Is this an official OFAC search service?
No. OFAC publishes its own official data and search resources. SanctionsKit is a separate commercial screening and review service; source references remain available for verification.
