U.S. Consolidated Screening List coverage
Use the CSL as a distribution source while preserving the underlying Commerce, State, and Treasury list identities.

An aggregator is not another authority
The Consolidated Screening List combines selected U.S. government screening lists. SanctionsKit uses us-csl for the transport source, while each normalized record retains its underlying authority and list. A Commerce Entity List entry and a Treasury SDN entry are not interchangeable restrictions.
The adapter recognizes the documented list identities and quarantines an import if an unknown identity appears. This avoids quietly treating a newly added list as an existing category. Direct OFAC data is deduplicated against CSL only with the same explicit official OFAC number.
Understand freshness and legal references
Commerce describes automatic daily CSL updates. The downloaded feed also carries import metadata. SanctionsKit preserves observed timestamps without turning the website description or transport metadata into a guaranteed update service level.
The CSL source profile reports records and refresh information for the official JSON distribution. Relevant original lists and legal publications determine the applicable restrictions; a screening supplies evidence for that review.
Choosing available coverage
Choose the sources relevant to your workflow from current coverage. The directory shows available sources, record counts, and successful refresh times. The public demonstration and sandbox use invented records; production requests use the coverage you select.
Use source discovery to select named sources or a versioned package. Requested sources that are unknown, unavailable, or too stale cause an explicit error. SanctionsKit does not silently remove them from your request or report an incomplete check as a no-match result.
